SAE Institute, the global leader in creative media education, is now operating in Abu Dhabi, offering creative media degree programs across the fields of Animation, Film-making, Graphic Design and Games Development.
According to a report published by Oxford Business Group, “Abu Dhabi’s media market has continued to expand and mature since 2007. The local government’s sustained support for the sector is largely attributable to the success of the emirate’s free zone twofour54, which continues to attract major media companies. At the same time, the zone’s many outreach and training programmes aimed at attracting young talent are paying dividends, and helping economic diversification targets.”
“Recent studies have shown that creative industries are one of the most rapidly growing sectors representing great economic potential. At SAE, we are committed to nurturing creative talent by providing a culture and environment that will help them to adapt and adopt 21st century skills required in our workforce today,” – Jan Horn, Managing Director at SAE Dubai.
In addition to this, TwoFour54 are also launching this regions’ new media campus on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi (called Creative Yas Hub) which is set to be open for business in early 2021. This campus is proud to nurture a creative media ecosystem which will house an estimate of over 6,000 media professionals and over 600 companies. Being the official training and development partner for this initiative, SAE Institute will continue to provide a stream of talented graduates to satisfy the rapidly growing needs of this expanding and lucrative industry.
By establishing a presence in Abu Dhabi, SAE’s goal is to propel UAE based talent into the creative industry with skills which are of international standards. The future plans also include providing mentorship and incubation opportunities to creative professionals, thereby unlocking the untapped potential to create growth and jobs in the creative media industries.
SAE is also currently focused on growing its Centre for Industry Engagement along with current partnerships such as TwoFour54, NOMAD and Ubisoft. The institute will embark on new ventures that will provide the right knowledge, space and tools to develop UAE’s creative talent.
