The spotlight will be on Manea Habeeb Almarzooqi when
Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club stages the third round of the UAE Flyboard Championship on Friday.
After dominating the last two rounds, Almarzooqi will be under pressure as he aims for another success in a strong line up of top UAE competitors.
Starting from Abu Dhabi’s Breakwater at 4.00pm, the event will show spectators why Flyboarding has become one of the fastest growing water sports in the world in recent years.
Competitors propelled 30 feet into the air by an amphibious water-powered jet pack are awarded points for amplitude, technicity, variety, showmanship and energy.
Following a qualifying round requiring a number of tricks to be landed within a time limit, competitors will be paired off for timed freestyle battles.
