Young professionals and graduates from across the UAE looking to ignite their careers will soon descend upon the halls of Dubai World Trade Centre for vital face time with a wide range of employers committed to recruiting at the country’s leading jobs fair.

With the government speeding up the implementation of its Emiratisation agenda, close to a 1,000 Emirati workers have been hired by UAE financial and banking institutions in the last 75 days alone . As more positions are expected to unfold in the coming months, such opportunity to prepare and empower Emirati job seekers at Careers UAE is hotly anticipated.

Encouraging candidates to utilise the valuable time spent with employers, Bayt.com, the number one job site in the Middle East and the show’s Strategic Careers Partner, has put together a four-point Job Search Journey to offer strategic advice and provide guidance to job seekers onsite.

The 17th edition of Careers UAE, an event dedicated to empowering UAE nationals in the workforce and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will welcome a host of regional and international companies offering diverse employment prospects to Emiratis at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 9-11 April.

Rania Nseir, Director-Business Development & CSR for Bayt.com said: “By participating in Careers UAE, we are providing an advanced, multi-station workshop for all attending job seekers. Bayt.com career experts are eager to offer CV evaluations, job search and application guidance, interview preparation, and numerous tips and tools that make the job seeker’s journey much smoother and their efforts much more rewarding.”

The Job Search Journey will consist of four main stations where a Bayt.com expert will guide and advise the job seeker. From perfecting a CV to acing the application and interview process, Bayt.com’s onsite initiative is set to boost Emirati confidence and competence when entering the job market.

Added Nseir: “Since our inception in 2000, we have been committed to empowering Emirati job seekers to find the best career opportunities in the UAE.

“Whether it is through our free CV consultations, the 3,000 UAE-based jobs that are accessible on Bayt.com on any given day, or through our Job Search Journey program, we strive to regularly offer the most powerful tools and the most recent information that cater to the UAE job market and offer Emirati talent top-notch support.”
The three-day job fair aims to build on the success of last year’s exhibition which saw thousands of Emirati graduates and job seekers finding employment avenues and internship opportunities across the automotive, aviation, banking, construction, energy, telecoms, healthcare, real-estate and oil and gas sectors.

The event will educate visitors on how their skills and qualifications are best suited for different professions in the public and private sectors through three days of conferences, interviews and an insight into new employment opportunities.

“Careers UAE will provide Emirati job seekers with a unique opportunity to have valuable face time with potential employers. Opening up these channels of communication and providing a platform for young professionals and graduates to have conversations are vital, not only for job seekers but for the employers themselves,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions & Events Management DWTC.

“Initiatives such as Bayt.com’s Job Search Journey play a big role in our visitors’ learning curve to understand what’s expected from them both during the application stage and the interview process.”

New to the show this year, Hopscotch Women’s Conference will be taking place on 10 April, offering female delegates hands-on training, coaching, inspiration and opportunities for women in the workplace.

Also taking part this year will be Gold Sponsors Dubai Electronic Security Centre and National Bank of Abu Dhabi, as well as organisations such as Emirates Group, HSBC, Pepsi-Cola International and UAE Armed Forces.

Providing job seekers with additional incentives to hone their skills is the returning feature, ‘Mission Possible’, a team challenge quizzing groups on their employability, CV writing skills and interview techniques, with prizes up for grabs for the best teams.
