A press conference was held on Sunday the 17th of June 2012, at Crowne Plaza Amman, by Messe Düsseldorf, with the special attendance of Dr. Clemens Schütte, International Business Director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.
Mrs. Salma M. Tillawi, Official Representative of Messe Düsseldorf inJordan, introduced Dr. Schütte to a number of journalists from different media sectors, attending the conference.
The event included a presentation spoken by Dr. Schütte, which contained a brief introduction about Messe Düsseldorf, and its most successful shows, among which are 23 No.1 events, as well as a special focus onJordan’s participation in some of Messe Düsseldorf”s key events.
“Messe Düsseldorf was founded in 1947, inDüsseldorf,Germany. It has over 40 trade shows, specializing in many industrial and commercial domains: Machinery and Factories, Trade and Services, Medicine and Health, Fashion and Lifestyle as well as Leisure. The Fair Ground consists of 19 halls, with a total space of 306,000 m², to suit every show of any size. Messe Düsseldorf has 68 Foreign Representatives in 127 countries.” explained Dr. Schütte.
“Also, Messe Düsseldorf is located right next toDüsseldorfAirport, making it so easy for trade visitors to reach fair grounds, with only a drive of 10 minutes by car.” added Dr. Schütte.
In addition, Dr. Schütte spoke about some of Messe Düsseldorf’s most successful trade shows: “MEDICA”, the world’s most leading trade show for Medicine and Health, “drupa”, a trade show specializing in Printing and Press, and “K” which specializes in Plastic and Rubber Industry. Also, a focus onJordantaking part in these events was made, which was truly a strong and noticeable presence, from both visitors and exhibitors.
In conclusion, Dr. Schütte emphasized the role Messe Düsseldorf plays with its long years of experience, to assure the most convenient services offered to visitors and exhibitors, and to maintain business relations with decision makers.
