Dubai International Content Market opened on December 8 with a busy first day as more than 500 registered buyers, sellers and content producers were welcomed by the organisers along with a packed agenda of conference discussions and meetings.
Chief guest H.E. Ali Ibrahim, Deputy Director General of Dubai Economy inaugurated the conference accompanied by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding. The Dubai International Content Market Conference and Exhibition – DICM is taking place on Dec 8-9 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre in Dubai.
The two-day media and entertainment event dedicated to content creators and distributors, brings together exhibitors, experts, speakers and industry representatives, with the aim of exploring the latest trends and developments in the local and international media and entertainment market.
The comprehensive 2-day conference programme opened with a panel discussion with leading regional media executives including Ahmed Abdel Hamid of Majid Kids TV, Tareq Abu Lughod of Arab Media Network and Bashar Douba of Cubic Connect who discussed ‘The Content Acquisitions Process in the MENA region’. The discussion was moderated by Heba Korayem Head of Broadcaster Relations at ChannelSculptor and Client Director for the mena.tv Content Hub.
