Better Life, one of the leading home appliance retailers in the United Arab Emirates and a division of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group LLC has lent its support to generous volunteers who are ready to share their space and resources to assist workers and anyone else in need during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative is part of a continuous CSR programme ‘Better Deeds’ launched by the company in the Year of Giving.
Better Deeds goal is to engage a wider audience and create community-based programmes that enhance social responsibility and also partnership with Better Life, a company that offers goods and services for everyday living across the UAE.
As part of the Community Refrigerator programme which supports the ongoing community based Ramadan Sharing Fridges initiative, Better Life has lent refrigerators across various communities in Dubai. Within these communities, residents have come together and shown their compassion to provide free water, drinks and light refreshments to workers and anyone in need.
“The Better Deeds initiative encourages the spirit of sharing and enhances the spirit of volunteering,” said Ziad Houdeib, General Manager, Better Life. “We have seen a great response from across communities in Dubai who joined us in this cause. Promoting a culture of social responsibility is something we strongly believe in and we look forward to striking a balance between short-term activities and longer-term engagement under the umbrella of Better Deeds,”
Better Life has provided refrigerators in more than 15 communities in Dubai – Al Barsha 2, Arabian Ranches 2, Al Wasl 1, Green Community (DIP East and West communities and Motor City), Jumeirah (Al Gurg Complex), Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Village Triangle, The Lakes, The Meadows, The Springs and communities of the Dubai Properties Group (Ghoroob, Shorooq and Layan). Several schools also participated in the initiative such as Kings’ School Al Barsha, Dubai British School and Jebel Ali School. During the entire month of June, Better Life will be carrying out routine maintenance to ensure the refrigerators are in optimal condition.
Better Life is grateful to the efforts of a huge team of selfless volunteers who have enthusiastically participated in the Community Refrigerator initiative and are continuously stocking the fridges through joint participation from kind hearted residents at the various locations.
