As far as Dubai’s endeavours in innovation are considered, the Innovation Centre project, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, is an important element of the relentless efforts to showcase and adapt latest technologies related to clean and solar energy. The Innovation Centre houses an exhibition on solar power and renewable energy to attract individuals, tourists, university students, schools, and businesses. It will also host a permanent conference centre for events, conferences, business meetings, training courses, and meetings about solar and renewable energy and other green and sustainable initiatives.

The Summit in its past edition witnessed the launch of the World Green Economy Report, ‘Inspiring Innovations in Business, Finance and Policy,’ in collaboration with the University of Cambridge and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This shows the need to adopt more depth and diversity in our approach to building a real green economy and moving the global sustainability agenda forwards
