Sheikh Mohammed: Expo 2020 Dubai will be the best edition yet

With a little over a year to go until Expo 2020, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid a visit to the site to inspect several infrastructure projects.

The Ruler of Dubai was joined by his son, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed was updated on the progress of the projects, as well as plans to help promote the expo, which is expected to receive over 25 million visitors from across the world between October 20, 2020 and April 10, 2021.

The Ruler of Dubai expressed his satisfaction during his visit to several construction sites and the UAE pavilion and was quoted as saying, “We are ready and remain true to our promise of presenting the best Expo edition in its 168-year-old history.”

450 days remaining for Expo 2020 Dubai, with 190 countries leading the world towards a better future through their pavilions for the first time in the MEASA. We are ready and remain true to our promise of hosting the best Expo edition yet in its 168-year history.

During his visit he also highlighted the importance of ensuring the success of Expo 2020, which will present a bright image of the UAE and its people.

Free bus tours to the Expo 2020 site were offered to UAE residents to grant them a sneak peak of the site before the six month event begins next year on October 20, 2020.

Named The World’s Greatest Show in the Making, visitors are driven around the Expo 2020 site and given a glimpse of the most impressive landmarks.

The world expo will be held in the Middle East for the first time next year and will begin on October 20, 2020. It will last six months and will have pavilions from 190 countries.
