“The UAE has strengthened its global position as a nation built on tolerance and coexistence, thanks to over 200 nationalities from different cultures and ethnicities who all live here together in harmony; who have a deep-rooted respect for the values of UAE society set in place by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
“These values are promoted by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.”
“The UAE’s relationships are based on solid principles that stem from our tolerant Islamic Sharia and our Arab traditions. The UAE affirmed these values through several initiatives, most notably the introduction of a Ministry of Tolerance, and the enactment of the Law On Combating Discrimination and Hatred. The UAE also ratified several international conventions and treaties related to the renunciation of violence, extremism, and discrimination,” said Al Tayer.
“The UAE’s international foreign aid is humanitarian in nature and doesn’t distinguish between race, origin, or religion. The UAE leads the world’s list of largest donor countries compared to gross national income, assisting the needy and underprivileged all over the world.”
