“DEWA has 1,949 women in its workforce, with 80.5% of them being Emirati. This includes 671 female engineers and technicians. 32% of employees at the R&D centre are female Emiratis, with most of them highly educated in science and engineering areas. DEWA Women’s Committee continues its efforts to encourage female employees to succeed, turn challenges into opportunities, and keep pace with changes. This ensures a proper balance between their personal and professional lives. Our female employees have proven their competency to consolidate DEWA’s efforts and pioneering global position. They volunteer inside the UAE and abroad. In 2020, our female employees spent 7,999 volunteering hours in 22 different humanitarian and social initiatives,” added Al Tayer.
