Dubai, UAE, 11 August 2021:“Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s Youth Council is committed to providing an inclusive environment for communicating with youth at DEWA, nurturing their talent, developing initiatives and projects that cater to their interests, and investing in their experiences to serve DEWA and societal needs. We spare no efforts in providing all ingredients to enhance their capabilities, and providing a positive environment to unleash their potential. This makes them key supporters of DEWA’s excellence and leadership journey. Since October 2019 and until July 2021, the Council has launched several initiatives and more than 10 platforms for communication with our youth employees. It also organised over 40 virtual events for more than 3,500 participants. Youth happiness has reached 94%. We are proud of our Emirati youth, their potential and will continue to highlight their achievements for current and future generations.
Our Youth Council provides several channels to enhance constructive communication with DEWA’s top management to share feedback and positively engage in excellence. The Council also engages with other UAE youth councils for awareness in renewable energy and sustainable development. His Excellency MD & CEO of DEWA and the top management at DEWA strive to empower youth through creativity and innovation as key pillars of its work and corporate approach. The Council’s strategy focuses on five main pillars: National Identity and Values, Continuing Education, Professional Development, Future Accelerators and Innovation; and Sustainability,” said Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, DEWA’s Youth Council President.
