Latest designs and fashionable frames to be displayed at Vision-X 2017

Vision-X returns for its 17th edition

Lens and frame manufacturer, Liberty sport are set to impress the Middle East market with their near-indestructible lenses used for sports professionals and enthusiasts.
Liberty Sport will be one of many exhibitors showcasing the latest in eyewear technology tomorrow at the 18th edition of Vision-X, which opens its doors from 17-19 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Robin Young, VP of Customer Service & Sales for Liberty Sport said, “We have decades of R&D and manufacturing experience, now combined with the national Liberty Performance Rx Lab, Liberty is uniquely positioned to provide complete prescription eyewear solutions for both active youth and adults.
“Notably, our Z8/X8 designs are virtually indestructible product while enjoying outdoor activities, and our eyewear is worn wherever vision performance is critical: from Little League baseball diamonds to the International Space Station, where NASA astronauts utilize Liberty’s Switch eyewear frame technology.”
Visitors can expect to see the very latest in cutting-edge design, technology and innovation at Vision-X. Returning to the show this year is a host of recognised industry names including Baush & Lomb, Alcon, GKB Hi Tech, and Anesthesia USA, as well as leading fashion brands such as Future Optic, Ata Optic and Dzmitry Samal.
Asma Alsharif, Visions-X’s Exhibition Director said: “We believe it is important that the show highlights companies that are at the cutting edge, we have a host of international companies displaying the latest and greatest of what is available on the market now and in the near future.”
In addition to showcasing the latest products and designs, the Vision-X event will host a series of contact lens workshops highlighting the latest technology and techniques for delegates, offering hands-on experience and an opportunity to earn valuable CPD points for their practices.
Running alongside these workshops is the Vision-X Opticare Conference, a staple for the show, which will host experts in the fields of ophthalmology, optometry and paediatrics to discuss the latest developments and pressing issues in the industry of eyecare.
Joining as the exhibition and conference knowledge partner, Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai, the first overseas branch of Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, the oldest eye hospital in the world, will lend their wealth of expertise to the show and deliver exclusive keynote presentations to attending delegates.
Attracting more than 4,000 buyers from over 70 countries, Vision-X will showcase many of the latest brands with dedicated areas such as the Future in Focus and Retail Theatre for business owners and managers to improve their operations.
Celebrating excellence in the eyewear and optical care industry, the Vision-X Vision Plus Awards returns for the fourth year to provide a platform for leading brands to celebrate the best in business. The ceremony takes place on 18 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
