Sharjah Tatweer Forum, part of the Quarter of a Century Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, introduced participants of its flagship Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP) to leadership strategies and industry insights during their visit to the headquarters of Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata), the advanced composite aero-structures manufacturing facility wholly owned by Mubadala Development Company.
The visit gave the SLP delegates the opportunity to learn about the company’s vision in contributing to Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy and become one of the top aero-structures manufacturing facilities in the world. During the visit, the company also highlighted its commitment to position Al Ain as a global aerospace hub. A tour of the facility demonstrated emphasis on integrating safety, quality and innovation in manufacturing aircraft components to the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers such as; Airbus and Boeing.
With over 700 employees, the visit also shed light on Strata’s resolve to develop and harness human capital in the aero-structures sector, including the capacities of women and UAE Nationals. 51% of Strata’s workforce is UAE nationals, of which 86% are females.
Jassem Albloushi, Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Quarter of a Century Foundation said: “As a successful Emirati company, Strata serves as an inspirational example for our young SLP participants. Their visit served as strong training ground, introducing them to the company’s processes, which include the adoption of smart technologies and utilization of advanced manufacturing solutions to create a unique and seamless operational flow. In addition, it fulfilled STF’s goal to introduce the youth to fast-growing industries that will shape the socio-economic fabric of the UAE. With the positive response received from this visit, we are confident in organizing more visits to successful Emirati companies that can help drive in more encouragement and inspiration for our SLP delegates.”
