HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received H.E. Ms. Li Ling Bing, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai. The meeting is one of a series of visits to DEWA by different consular and diplomatic delegations to exchange experiences and promote further cooperation, and was also attended by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA.
Al Tayer welcomed Ling Bing, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between DEWA and Chinese companies in the energy sector.
Al Tayer noted DEWA’s most important development projects and strategic initiatives launched to achieve the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, to transform Dubai into an international hub for clean energy and green economy. The delegation expressed interest in contributing to DEWA’s projects in clean and renewable energy. Ling Bing commended DEWA’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and reduce Dubai’s carbon footprint. Ling Bing noted China’s interest in investing in Dubai’s clean and renewable energy sector, and forming a strong partnership with DEWA to benefit from the sector.
