MD & CEO of DEWA discusses strengthening cooperation with the Ambassador of Royal Consulate of Denmark in the UAE

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed a high-ranking Danish delegation that was led by HE Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin, the new Ambassador of the Royal Consulate of Denmark in the UAE, and included Anders Kjaer, a special adviser at the Danish Agency for Environmental Protection; Anders Lynggaard-Jensen, Head of Quality Improvement and Automation at Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI); Mette Hoberg Tønnesen, Commercial Attaché – Green Tech at the Consulate; and Astrid Svitzer Ching Nielsen, Head of Commercial Section & Advisor at the Consulate.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources; Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence, and Marwan Bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at DEWA.
Al Tayer welcomed the new ambassador and wished him well on his upcoming diplomatic mission. He also stressed DEWA’s eagerness to consolidate the levels of cooperation, friendship, and joint action with all diplomatic and consular missions operating in the UAE.
Al Tayer also stressed the importance of cooperation between DEWA and Danish companies, the exchange of best practices and experiences in the energy, water, and sustainability sectors; and the sharing of experiences from both sides. During the meeting, Al Tayer showcased DEWA’s programmes, plans, and projects that aim to achieve the vision of the wise leadership and strengthen the position of the UAE and Dubai worldwide.
The Danish Ambassador praised DEWA’s efforts and its role in promoting sustainable development in the Emirate, and thanked Al Tayer for his gracious reception and for providing both sides an opportunity to discuss joint cooperation while enhancing bilateral relations.
