A collection of internationally recognised designer brands are coming together to showcase the latest Autumn / Winter 2016 eyewear and eye care collections in Dubai next week.

Household names such as Emporio Armani, Gucci, Ted Baker, Ray-Ban, Levis, Sonia Rykiel, Mango, Crocs, Kenzo, Cerruti and Balmain will all be in focus at Vision-X, the Middle East’s only optical industry trade show which returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre for the 17th edition from 25-27 October.

Represented by Optic Plus, one of the leading optical companies in the UAE established in the early 1990s by TCN Group, the new Autumn / Winter 2016 men’s and women’s collections by Ted Baker are expected to be a popular draw for visitors.  The women’s collection is described as a work of optical illusion with frames that speak to a bygone era in vintage round shapes and colours that are fresh and thoroughly modern.  Pastel pinks, mint greens feature throughout the range, with the signature rose gold bow temples which are sure to turn heads.

The UAE distributor will also introduce the new ‘Squintessential’ range by Ted Baker, a recollection of classic vintage eyewear adding an urbane twist to the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.  Targeting confident, discerning customers who appreciate the finer things in life, the collection combines exquisite design, materials, rich colours and bold geometrics.

“Our brand’s portfolio best suits the market during this economically challenging time,” said Shefiq Abdulla CEO of Optic+, launching fall and winter collections of Ted Baker, an affordable luxury designer brand with a dynamic and trendy attitude, along with hugely popular brand Mango as well as the fun brand for all the ages, Crocs. “This is our second Vision-X participation since we launched our entrepreneurial venture exclusively serving Optical/Eyewear industry in wider Gulf region with multidimensional concept currently operating in wholesale distribution, retail and management consulting.”

The new Crocs eyewear range interprets the relaxed and distinctly fun spirit of the well-known footwear brand, incorporating unique style and creative design in colours, shapes, materials and comfort of crocs™. The latest collection uses an assortment of materials such as nickel free stainless steel, hypo-allergenic silicon rubber and flexible polymer.  Available for adults and children, the eyewear collection features styles for chic, fashionable women, dynamic and versatile men as well as for those with an active lifestyle, while the junior collection is bursting with bubblegum colours and ultra-lightweight frames.

Optic Plus will also host a raffle draw at their stand, with one visitor each day winning a pair of sunglasses from the Mango Eyewear range (Tuesday 25 October), the Ted Baker collection (Wednesday 26 October) and Crocs Eyewear (Thursday 27 October).

Visitors can expect to see the very latest in cutting-edge design, technology and innovation at Vision-X.  Returning to the show this year is a host of recognised industry names including Baush & Lomb, Alcon, GKB Hi Tech, and Anesthesia USA, as well as leading fashion brands such as Future Optic, Ata Optic and Dzmitry Samal.

Turkish exhibitor Dogan Optik, headquartered in Istanbul with a branch in Dubai, will present its collections from brands including Hermossa, Despada, Sarar, Levis, Cerruti, Balmain, Kenzo and Sonia Rykiel.

Attracting more than 4,000 buyers from over 70 countries, Vision-X will showcase more than 250 brands, with dedicated areas such as the Future in Focus and Retail Theatre for business owners and managers to improve their operations.
