One of Dubai’s newest hotels has become an instant hit with UAE and overseas visitors as a staycation spot, pointing to a rising demand in the market for affordable accommodation in prime locations.

Since opening last month, the Premier Inn Dubai Ibn Battuta Mall has been attracting guests with an introductory room rate from AED250+ per night and a level of service that has taken many pleasantly by surprise.

“The overwhelming response from guests both from the UAE and abroad underlines that there’s a growing need in Dubai for a high standard of hospitality without high prices and unnecessary frills,” said Roudi Soubra, the hotel’s General Manager.

“Our offering is designed to meet this demand, and we believe this is going to be the trend in the years ahead as more and more local residents and overseas visitors go for affordability combined with quality. The hotel was full with bookings in its fourth week of operation and guests have been overwhelmingly positive in their feedback.”

Soubra says the hotel’s location next to Ibn Battuta Mall and the proximity to Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence and Jumeirah Lakes Towers is proving a big attraction, while customers have been quick to offer praise.

Dubai resident Syed Kamran Shah said: “My family and I were travelling across the emirates for three weeks, staying at many hotels across Sharjah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, but it was Premier Inn Dubai Ibn Battuta where we found a real home away from home.”

One visitor from London wrote: “This hotel is ideal if you need a comfortable base and intend to mainly explore the attractions of Dubai rather than lounge by the pool. It’s a similar style throughout to a British Premier Inn and vastly cheaper than any other hotels we considered.”

Another from Maryland, USA was “inspired” by the quality of the Premier Inn package and emphasised a “very smart location linked to the metro station and Ibn Battuta Mall.”

The three-star Premier Inn Dubai Ibn Battuta Mall, connected to the adjacent Dubai Metro station by a pedestrian bridge, features spacious 28sqm bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a work desk, offers a great value alongside a unique Good Night Guarantee in comparison to more expensive hotels.

Amenities include a spacious swimming pool, ultramodern gym, a restaurant, fully licenced bar, Costa coffee shop, and free 24-hour Wi-Fi access.”
