Excitement among avid smartphone users in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is building up as rumours that TECNO Mobile is poised to introduce into the market another feature-laden mobile device continues to grip the region.
But as the guessing game continues, TECNO is widely expected to reaffirm its quest to shape the regional mobile phone market by raising the bar in the smartphone category through the introduction of devices that are user-centric and feature-driven.
Rumours are spreading that TECNO is expected to launch an advanced mobile device from its Camon series, which is also arguably one of the best camera phones in its category.
Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the new smartphone, which reliable industry insiders said, could be named the Camon CM, is expected to be a newer and feature-packed version of its predecessor, the Camon CX.
The new device is also rumored to have a first full screen display available in the Camon series that will enable its users to “see more”.
This feature, if indeed true, is expected to cause an unprecedented ripple effect across the regional smartphone ecosystem.
With the much-anticipated unveiling of TECNO’s latest smartphone, which is expected in the coming weeks, TECNO is now looking to grow its regional market share through the introduction of revolutionary devices that are designed to enhance user experience.
According to the spokesperson, TECNO’s growing market share in Africa is as a result of its devices’ ability to meet and exceed the consumer entertainment and creative needs. The incorporated features in the devices have been designed to significantly enhance popular every day actions such as taking selfies.
Through its brand positioning – “Think globally, Act locally”, TECNO is starting to open up other markets around the world. In 2016, TECNO made its debut into the UAE smartphone market and successfully launched its flagship smartphone devices – Phantom 6 and Phantom 8 in Dubai.
TECNO is also rumored to be partnering with a popular distributor in UAE as part of its strategy to increase its market share.
Currently, the UAE still retains the bragging rights to having the highest mobile penetration of 0ver 78 percent across the Middle East and North Africa region and one of the fastest growing industries.
This, according to a survey conducted by TechSci, has been attributed to a growing demand for advanced smartphone features coupled by a steadily rising preference for smartphones with display size over 5 inches.
