(Healthy Food is My Medicine and Supports My Wellness)

On the occasion of the World Food Day of October 16, 2023 the Islamic Hospital launched an healthy program, under the theme of (My Healthy Food is My Medicine) for the aim of supporting the wellness and safety of the local and regional societies, and the program includes the following major health and safety tips which reduces the risks of many diseases, such as cancer, heart and brain illnesses, weak bones and immunity, obesity, diabetes and many others:
* Perform medical check up regularly.
* Keep your body weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and lipids at the healthy ranges.
* Be active and perform regular exercises.
* Avoid all kinds of Tobacco and Alcoholic Beverages.
* Limit your intake of sugar, sweets, sugary drinks, salt and fast food.
* Increase your intake of fruits, vegetables, fiber containing foods.
* Limit your intake of saturated and hydrogenated fat.
* Be Hydrated and drink water adequately.
* Sleep well and manage stress successfully.
* Engage yourself in social activities.
