Dubai Outlet Mall, the region’s first and ultimate value shopping destination, celebrated the fourth Emirati Women’s Day with special events and treats for winners of a radio competition, who voted for their Emirati women role-models.
The Mall welcomed four women for a special day of retail therapy and culinary delights. Participating retail outlets who presented them with shopping vouchers so that they could enhance their wardrobes with new fashion and accessories included Mustang Outlet, Saucony Outlet, V Brand Gallery Outlet, Senso Outlet, Palazo Jewellery Outlet, Ipekyol Outlet, Al Jaber Optical Outlet, Vincci Outlet, Chuck E Cheese, Milano One Outlet, Pointure Outlet and Nabeel Perfumes Outlet. The Mall also partnered with Careem to provide transportation to and from the retail outlet.
Emirati Women’s Day was founded in 2015 and its aim is to officially recognize the contribution of the nation’s women, and their role in the development and advancement of the country. The 28th of August was chosen as the annul date for celebrations as it commemorates the birth of the General Women’s Union on 28th of August, 1975.
The initiative was an endeavor by Dubai Outlet Mall to honor and celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of UAE women who make a valuable contribution to their families and communities. It aligns with a variety of philanthropic projects actioned and hosted by Dubai Outlet Mall which mirror the ethos and endeavours of The Year of Zayed and the core values of the founding father of UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He envisioned the country to be a model for women empowerment in the region and encouraged the role of women in strengthening the economic and social sectors of society.
