DEWA Women’s Committee organises workshops for over 150 female staff

-

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Women’s Committee organised three workshops that were attended by over 150 female staff from all divisions. The initiative supports DEWA’s strategy to develop the capabilities of female employees and provide them with a motivating work environment. The first workshop was on colour psychology and its impact on personality and development. The second focused on drawing and découpage (decorating objects). It featured theoretical and practical lessons that female staff liked. The third workshop highlighted traditional incense and perfumes. It aimed to connect female employees with the UAE’s heritage and preserve customs and traditions and transfer them to the younger generation.

Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA Women’s Committee, emphasised the committee’s keenness to organise such workshops that develop the capabilities of female employees, motivate them to innovate and encourage them to participate in the committee’s activities that are organised throughout the year.

Female employees were happy to take part in the workshops. They expressed their satisfaction with the diversity of topics that contributed to developing their skills and encouraged them to engage in various activities during their free time, as well as transfer these skills to their families
