DEWA organises Wellness & Happiness programme for customer happiness staff

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the Wellness and Happiness programme for its Customer Happiness staff. The programme aims to provide a positive and motivating work environment. This is part of DEWA’s efforts to provide the best services to its customers, and its strategy to increase and enhance the happiness of its employees, customers, and partners. A total of 496 employees, including 324 female staff, will participate in the three-month programme.
The programme includes various recreational and sports activities that contribute to increase the activity and relaxation of the employees and enhance their positive energy. It also raises the level of physical and psychological fitness, through exercises such as yoga and group entertainment games. The programme also includes discussion sessions, to enable employees to discuss the challenges they face and ways to deal with them.

The Wellness and Happiness programme helps employees to be happy and self-confident, and promotes team work. These are among the principles of government excellence, which focuses on self-development and creating an environment that motivates innovation and creativity among employees. This in turn, reflects positively on their performance and interaction with the public, and raises the levels of efficiency and productivity.
