As part of DEWA’s efforts to contribute to the overall development plan of the Hatta region, and to commit to a sustainable lifestyle for building an ideal society, DEWA hosted a workshop to introduce the ‘Ideal Home’ service. The service targeted more than 300 residents from Hatta, in partnership with nine government organisations: Dubai Police, RTA, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority, Dubai Smart Government, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Civil Defence, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
“The service aims at commending the owners of homes that enjoy the standards of security, health and public safety, preserving the environment and sustaining and consolidating the efforts provided by the Government of Dubai. This will contribute to establishing a culture of rationalisation, in building of an ideal society. Through our Ideal Home Service, we seek to promote a positive and constructive competition among families in Dubai to implement the standards set by government organisations in pursuit of the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the smartest city in the world. The workshop, organised by DEWA, comes within our framework to support the comprehensive development of the Hatta region, which was ordered by His Highness to strengthen its social, economic and tourism capabilities, and providing the necessary support,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
“Through the workshop, DEWA seeks to encourage Hatta residents to register and participate in the leading service, and to provide advice and guidance that contribute to building a happy and ideal society. We would also like to spread the concept and culture of the ideal family and motivate other families to build homes that are sustainable and environmentally friendly, in order to achieve the objectives of the UAE Vision 2021 to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world; and the Dubai Plan 2021 to make Dubai the best place to live, work, and visit,” added Al Tayer.
Representatives from the government institutions, provided a detailed presentation of the criteria and requirements, how to register and qualify for the Ideal Home award. Etihad Energy Services (Etihad ESCO) also presented its services on energy efficiency to residents of the region.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants from the region commended DEWA’s efforts, and the role of participating government departments.
