HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) welcomed Dr Fred Kofman, Vice President of Leadership and Organisational Development at Linkedin, who recently took part in a special workshop at the Raffles Dubai, about Executive Leadership Transformation. DEWA is developing its leadership skills and promoting excellence in organisational performance.
DEWA’s Executive Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents attended the workshop to learn about the important role of senior leadership in policy development and innovation, by collaborating with, innovating with, and inspiring others. Participants also reviewed and exchanged global best practices, techniques, methodologies and tools to update themselves about change by leadership development, using an integrated system of plans and clear objectives.
“We adopt a clear strategy to provide all employees with the right skills to keep pace with employment needs, according to the newest and best global standards. We wish to launch integrated training and qualification programmes to keep up with the latest practices and technologies being used. DEWA regularly organises programmes and special courses to train and prepare its leaders and staff to improve skills, develop knowledge and update information on subjects, such as leadership and excellence, to enable them to enhance their leadership skills and provide the best services to enhance the competitiveness of the UAE, especially Dubai,” said Al Tayer.
Dr. Kofman commended DEWA’s senior leadership, who believe in change according to a specific vision. They identify the projects and strategic initiatives according to change management and work, which support and accelerate strategic innovation, adopt planning scenarios to deal with variables in their work environment, and build on specific priorities by identifying the risks and their consequences.
