From palm tree-shaped islands to entire islands that resemble a map of the world, Dubai is nothing short of remarkable when it comes to man-made feats. But now it’s adding one more charming structure to that list.
Dubai has created the “Love Lakes” – two intertwined heart-shaped lakes set up near Al Qudra Lakes, and its full of all things related to love.
Unveiled by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad, Crown Prince of Dubai, the new site even has trees planted that spell out the word “love”.It can even be seen on Google Maps with the shape of the two hearts, right next to The Last Lake of Al Qudra. It won’t be too hard to find either, as signs have been set in Al Qudra pointing to the romantic spot.
And it’s not the only heart-shaped honeymoon island is planned to open at The Heart of Europe.
The city has also recently opened up the hugely anticipated Bluewaters island https://www.timeoutdubai.com/news/389328-watch-first-look-inside-dubais-… near JBR, and the Time Out Dubai team had an exclusive sneak peek to what’s happening over there.
If you’re looking for romance – or just that Insta-snap – it’s time to take a trip to Al Qudra.
