HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed HE Paul Fox, Consul General of the UK in Dubai and Northern Emirates, at his office. This is part of DEWA’s efforts to build closer ties, and exchange experiences with international government and private organisations.
Al Tayer welcomed Fox, and stressed the distinguished relations between the two organisations, which have resulted in fruitful joint cooperation in various fields, especially the energy and water sector.
During the meeting, Al Tayer received an invitation from the UK Government to participate in the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit, to present DEWA’s vision, its most important development projects and strategic initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI), and its three smart initiatives that support Smart Dubai. Smart Dubai was launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world. The Summit will be held in London on 20-21 February.
The Consul General commended DEWA’s efforts to improve the energy sector in the UAE, and expressed admiration for DEWA’s services and facilities that have put it at a leading position globally.
