It’ll feature a Peter Pan theatre show, a festive market and a big Christmas tree light switch on…
We’re now firmly into October and, like it or not, that means we’re officially on the countdown to Christmas.
The iconic QE2 Dubai are celebrating in a big way from December 12 to 14 by bringing back their Winter Wonderland extravaganza, complete with a Christmas tree light switch on, a festive market and some Peter Pan-themed entertainment and dining experiences to get you into the holiday spirit.
The Christmas tree light switch on will take place on Friday December 13 with a choir singing some classic carols and even an appearance from Santa. It’s free to enter, but you’ll need to register your attendance.
Breaking away a little from the Christmas theme, a Bee Gees tribute band are set to perform some of the original band’s biggest hits that evening, so prepare for a trip down memory lane too.
Perfect for a fun family day out, a free-to-enter festive market will take place on Saturday December 13 from 10am to 2pm with an array of stalls selling local handmade arts and crafts, seasonal gifts and live cooking stations.
Peter Pan is the theme of this years’ Winter Wonderland and there will be two theatre performances showing each day at 11am and 3pm. If you fancy making a day of it, you’re invited to dine with all your favourite Peter Pan characters at Tinkerbell’s afternoon tea (Dhs135 for adults and Dhs65 for children) handily timed from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Not stopping the theme just there, there’s even set to be a QE2 Captain Hook brunch on the Friday with Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell there to entertain the little ones. For the adults, there’s an international buffet, free-flowing drinks and a live band performing Christmas hits all day. It’s priced at Dhs395 for house beverages, Dhs225 for the soft package and Dhs95 for children under 12.
