Azizi Developments—a leading UAE-based real estate developer with global reach into international markets—has submitted its concept designs to Meydan for its upcoming low to mid-rise residential and retail projects ahead of schedule.
The developer announced the purchase of 186 plots within Meydan last February. In less than a month, the concept designs and detailed plans for Phase 1, District 1 of Meydan were submitted. The proposal includes 76 buildings, which encompass approximately 16,000 apartments. The plans for District 1 also feature designs for over 300 retail projects that range from shops to restaurants.
A key design principle was seamlessly interconnecting the buildings in a way that is aesthetically pleasing and practically efficient. Among the more luxurious concepts proposed are two high-end hotel establishments, which were expertly designed to complement the surrounding buildings and landscape.
The plans will enhance the existing area and attract visitors from the city by creating new public access to the canal and walk bay located within the site. Similar to JBR’s The Walk, the retail projects and entertainment areas that will be developed have been sympathetically designed, ideal for families and children.

Azizi Development’s upcoming project will be within Meydan One’s massive 3.75-million-square-metre destination. Azizi’s project within Meydan One will be within close proximity to amenities like schools, hospitals, sports facilities and restaurants. The development is located between Meydan and Al Khail Road and is set to become Dubai’s eminent attraction.
